San Vito · Sardinia
Four apartments carved out of our family house, minutes away from the beaches of south-east Sardinia.
There was a time when the whole neighbourhood came to this house for water. The well stood in the courtyard, and whoever came brought their terracotta pitchers — is marigas in Sardinian. They are the same ones you will find again in the old photographs hanging on the apartment walls.
Those handmade pitchers were something grandmother Amelia also sold. So whoever stopped by for water often went home with a piece of local craftsmanship.
The house was hers; today it is her son Bruno who welcomes you. Over the years it was divided into four apartments, each with its own name and personality. One of them is called Il Pozzo, "the well" — and now you know why.
The pitcher in our logo comes from here: from a place that has always opened its doors to whoever passed by. The idea has stayed the same, even if today our guests come from a little further away.

We are in the centre of San Vito, in the Sarrabus: a real village, where you can walk to the bakery and the shops, and from which a short drive takes you to some of the finest beaches in south-east Sardinia.

On arrival we hand you our own guide, with addresses, phone numbers and the places we personally recommend.

The hill that closes the horizon above the village, wrapped in stories the people of San Vito have always told. A walking destination among granite, nuraghi and views over the whole Sarrabus.
The mining village founded in 1863 and worked until 1935: Villa Madama, the hospital, the ore-washing plant and the Sa Macchina Beccia shaft still stand. Part of the UNESCO-recognised Geomineral Park.
*Outdoor space is available at Il Pozzo, La Terrazza and La Palma. La Bottega opens directly onto the street.
Every apartment is fitted with the safety devices required by current Italian regulations for holiday rentals.
